Pupils learn a variety of skills in their Acting lessons. Not only vocal and physical characterisation, but also projection, diction and working as a team. There is also mime, script work, staging and more!
Older pupils are introduced to exercises inspired by various practitioners such as Stanislavski, Laban and Chekhov.
Marie is passionate about working on confidence and making sure that everyone is having fun!
Each class is structured to support the students to develop the 5 Basic Components of Singing:
We train our students to grow in strength, flexibility and musicality, giving a sense of control and confidence when singing. We also encourage pupils to explore their voices and we will respond to their individual needs to unlock their potential.
No dance experience is needed. Each class is focused on building the children’s strength, flexibility and co-ordination. Children will learn how to warm up safely and develop professional technique in a variety of styles.
Our students experience a supportive and fun environment and will be learning and practicing musical theatre numbers; often working towards a theatre performance.
These classes are a critical element of the development of our students where they learn important skills to enable them to perform on stage to popular musical theatre shows.
During this class they perform individually and as part of an ensemble. Lessons combine elements of acting, singing and dancing and provide opportunities for students to perform in front of each other to build their confidence and belief in themselves as performers.
Often during these lessons we rehearse and polish sections of our Showbiz Showcase productions so children will be mixing with other pupils from across the age categories of our school, which helps develop core social skills and self worth.
Our Saturday morning sessions are the perfect opportunity for young people to explore the performing arts in a fun, structured, and supportive environment.
Children are grouped into three separate age categories, ensuring that every student receives age-appropriate guidance and the chance to grow in confidence and skill.
Each week, all students take part in four core classes:
Our little Performers class is specially designed for younger children in Reception and Year 1. Through fun, creative activities in singing, dancing, and drama, we help children build confidence, coordination, and communication skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
No experience needed – just lots of enthusiasm!
