Showbiz Academy specialises in musical theatre
“Showbiz Academy was established in l999 by our principal, Rachel Wonfor and continues to offer exceptional value, professional and high quality training for students in all aspects of Musical Theatre - Acting, Singing, Dancing.
As a child Rachel fell in love with dancing, but her experience of dance schools were mixed, the teachers were good but they were not kind, the pupils were good dancers but they were not supportive of each other, in fact they were often mean and jealous.
At 15 years old, Rachel started to dream of having her own theatre school, she wanted it to be a supportive and friendly place to train at with professional teachers and children that shared the same passion of musical theatre. A place where children could get away from the pressures of life, have fun and develop critical life skills as confidence and communication.
This dream drove her to train at Italia Conti and all the time whilst she loved to perform, she knew one day she would have a theatre school of her own.
Since it was established, our pupils have performed over 22 Showcase shows and there have been in excess of 5,000 hours of teaching.
